Working day Getafe about Allan Trace Sunday night's floodlit match in the outskirts of Madrid had barely begun before it was over.
The defender looked at referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero in utter bewilderment as he showed him the red card. Nyom was on the field for just 37 manually timed seconds before he brought down Vinicius Junior with a clothesline tackle a long way from the ball (20 metres).
What was supposedly intended as a tactical foul turned out to be much more severe in practice. The Brazilian also knew how to make the most of this gift. The referee had no other choice. Nyom's actions against the Real Madrid star took place right in front of both benches and, most importantly, in full view of the fourth official.
In fact, after being shown the red card, Nyom actually spent more time on the field than after coming on as a substitute. This was also due to his lack of faith. The 37-year-old was not aware of any wrongdoing. But after the first video replays of the incident, there was no doubt.
Once play restarted, things moved just as quickly, with Kylian Mbappe immediately taking advantage of his new numerical superiority to score the winning goal for the Royals just 20 seconds after play restarted. What about Getafe? In one minute they destroyed everything they had worked so hard for over 76 minutes to earn a point against record champions Spain.
